When it comes to joining aluminium profiles or structural framing systems, achieving both strength and a clean finish can be challenging. Anchor Connectors offer an elegant solution by providing a fully internal fixing method that maintains the integrity and usability of the profile channel.

What Are Anchor Connectors?

Anchor Connectors are a specialised fastening system designed to join profiles from the inside, eliminating the need for external brackets or bulky hardware. Because the entire connection sits within the profile, there is minimal disruption to the external channel, allowing you to maximise available space for additional components, accessories, or mounting systems.

This makes Anchor Connectors particularly useful in applications where aesthetics, modularity, and efficient use of profile slots are important—such as automation frames, workstations, enclosures, and machine builds.

Key Benefits of Anchor Connectors

Fully Internal Fixing
All components sit inside the profile, preserving a clean and professional exterior.

Maximised Channel Availability
Since there are no external brackets, profile slots remain free for panels, cable management, or additional hardware.

Strong and Secure Connection
The internal mechanism ensures a tight, reliable joint suitable for structural applications.

Improved Aesthetics
Hidden fixings create a streamlined, modern appearance ideal for visible frameworks.

How Anchor Connectors Work

The Anchor Connector system is made up of three main components:

  1. Sprung Pin – Slides through the centre of the profile.

  2. Threaded Dowel – Sits inside a pre-machined hole in the profile.

  3. Grub Screw – Tightens into the dowel, pulling the sprung pin tight and locking the connection in place.

When assembled, the grub screw draws the sprung pin into the dowel, creating a firm internal clamp between the two profiles.

Machining Requirements

To install an Anchor Connector correctly, a precise hole must be machined into the profile:

Hole Diameter: 15mm

Hole Depth: Approximately 27mm

Position: Around 33mm from the end of the profile

This allows the threaded dowel to sit securely داخل the profile, ensuring proper alignment and fastening performance.

Installation Overview

  1. Machine the required hole in the profile.

  2. Insert the threaded dowel into the hole.

  3. Slide the sprung pin through the profile centre.

  4. Tighten the grub screw to pull the connection tight.

The result is a solid, concealed joint with no external hardware required.

Why Choose Anchor Connectors?

Anchor Connectors are ideal for engineers, designers, and builders who want to:

Maintain a clean and uncluttered profile design

Maximise flexibility for future modifications

Reduce reliance on external brackets

Improve the overall appearance of their assembly

Whether you're building industrial frameworks or custom modular systems, Anchor Connectors provide a high-performance, space-saving connection method.
